As part of his pilgrimage through the whole of York diocese, Archbishop Sentamu will walk through Elvington en route to lunch at the school. All villagers are invited to come and meet him.
This part of his journey will start from Sutton upon Derwent village hall at 11.10. From the bridge he will take the footpath along the riverbank to Elvington church and then up Church Lane to the main road. Calling in at the shop, he will then go up to the school. Please join him for all or part of the walk: he would love your company!
