Can you help clean up the belfry? This Sunday, 1:30pm. We could do with a team of about 4-5 people to blitz it!

For much of the summer, there has been a hive of bees in the tower, making access impossible. After the cold weather, there are now no bees flying (although perhaps some still in the nest). There are plenty of dead ones, along with spiders and dust!

I put a photo of the top of the bees nest (taken last week) here.  We don't really want to kill the bees, so the bee-plan is to try to box the nest in a bit, preventing bees getting into the inside of the tower.

It's a lovely view and interesting to see an area of the church you don't often see! Helpers will need old clothes/overalls, a dust masks (I some spares) and gloves.

If you can help, please let Ian know (ian@broster.co.uk) or simply arrive at the tower around 1:30pm this Sunday.
