Harvest Service Charity Donations to Carecent and Farm Africa
The harvest service is coming a relaxed family service, please bring donations to the charities that we are supporting.
Financial donations will go to Farm Africa - a charity that reduces poverty by helping farmers in eastern Africa to grow more, sell more and sell for more. With their help, rural families are growing their incomes while also protecting their local environment for generations to come.
Goods and food will go to Carecent, a breakfast centre for all homeless, unemployed or otherwise socially excluded members of our community (York). They provide food, clothing and fellowship in a friendly and non-judgemental environment. Our volunteer staff are always ready to listen and offer support and advice where possible. Family Service
Family services are typically informal, relaxed services, with special features for children. Usually led by clergy, or sometimes members of the congregation, this service is really for everyone, all ages, to come and learn about God and share our faith together. Music is usually piano and/or organ and typically includes some songs that children know from school.
