HARVEST CELEBRATIONS ~ SUNDAY OCTOBER 4TH
BEFORE SUNDAY:
- We will be having a collection for York Food bank in the form of a harvest of tins. Tins can be left in the box outside Wheldrake Church from this weekend or you may like to put a tin in the collection point at the supermarket instead.
- Also, have a go at making a fruit or vegetable person. Get a piece of fruit or a vegetable and stick on eyes, nose, mouth, arms, legs and even some clothes and bring it to the service to show everyone. For example, you could get a carrot and put eyes, nose, mouth, arms and legs on it and even some clothes! Bring it along to show us on Sunday morning.
- See the harvest craftwork sheet, attached to this page.
SUNDAY MORNING:
10.00-10.30 craft-work time together on Zoom. Sheet attached for what to bring
10.30 FAMILY SERVICE on Zoom.

immediately before the service
- We need pictures of fruit and veg to colour and cut out on Sunday. You may like to use these or draw your own.
- You will need to have them printed out ready to use on Sunday. You can colour and cut them out beforehand or with us in the morning.
Family Service
Family services are typically informal, relaxed services, with special features for children. Usually led by clergy, or sometimes members of the congregation, this service is really for everyone, all ages, to come and learn about God and share our faith together. Music is usually piano and/or organ and typically includes some songs that children know from school.
