What to expect?
There are many types of regular services at Elvington - including informal worship, family services and communion services - hopefully something for everyone, they are described below.
All are welcome at any service, just come along.

Kinds of church services
All Age Holy Communion
This is an All Age Communion – suitable for everyone from 0-100+. Refreshments afterwards
All Age Worship
All age worship is suitable for everyone from 0-100+. Refreshments afterwards
Evening Prayer
Evening prayer, usually following the traditional 1662 service book, albeit with an easy-going atmosphere. Music is usually on the organ.
Family Service
Family services are typically informal, relaxed services, with special features for children. Usually led by clergy, or sometimes members of the congregation, this service is really for everyone, all ages, to come and learn about God and share our faith together. Music is usually piano and/or organ and typically includes some songs that children know from school.
Holy Communion
Holy Communion is a slightly formal service, sharing holy communion (the "bread and wine") and usually following a service book.
Internet Service
These services are all via zoom (video), you can join from a laptop, tablet, phone or other device.

Messy Church
The Messy Derwent Project is a fantastic opportunity each week, for primary aged children and their families to enjoy exciting activities and a meal together.
You must register your place to attend.

Morning prayer, usually following a service book, with some simple liturgy, the service is a fairly traditional, but easy-going service. Music is usually led by the organ.

United Service
United services join the benefice of 5 churches, and once each month we join together in a united service, which rotates around the benefice. The services vary a bit in style, but usually have Holy Communion. Music is usually led by the organist.
